Who We Are

About First Baptist Mission

At First Baptist Mission, we are a family of believers committed to glorifying God in all that we do. Our heart is to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ through worship, discipleship, and service.

We believe church is more than just a place you go on Sundays, it’s a community where people can belong, grow, and live out their faith together. Each time we gather, whether in Sunday School, worship services, or small groups, our goal is to encourage one another to love God more deeply and live more faithfully as followers of Christ.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a church so completely transformed by the love of God that we transform the community around us. It’s a vision with three core parts:

UPWARD

A Deeper Faith. We envision a church where people aren’t just going through the motions, but are building a vibrant, personal relationship with Jesus. We see a future where every person, from the youngest to the oldest, is growing in their faith, finding real answers for their lives, and worshiping God with passion and joy.

OUTWARD

 A Tangible Hope. We envision our church as a recognized beacon of hope and healing in our county. We dream of being known not by our building, but by our love in action—a community that actively serves the poor, comforts the hurting, and brings the light of the Gospel into the darkest places.

TOGETHER

 A Glimpse of Heaven. We envision a church family that is a beautiful blend of cultures, languages, and generations. Our dream is to live in a unity so genuine that it stands as a powerful testament to the world, showing a glimpse of what heaven will be like—a place where everyone is invited, everyone is valued, and everyone is loved.

Our Beliefs

Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,

God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God, begotten not made, one in being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven;
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.

We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
